At Arch Dental Clinic, we understand how overwhelming this selection process can be. These are the questions worth asking any dental office before you book a first appointment — so here are ours, answered.

Do You Specialize in Any Services?

We are a general practice, which means one team looks after almost everything a family needs. Oral surgery, root canals, periodontics, orthodontics, sedation and children’s dentistry are all provided here, alongside checkups and cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges, dentures, and cosmetic work such as whitening, bonding and veneers.

The practical effect is that you are rarely referred elsewhere. Most treatment is finished in this office, by the team you already know, instead of being passed to another clinic across the city.

What Is Your Location?

We are at #207 - 7319 29 Ave NW, inside the New Covenant Community Wellness Center, in Mill Woods in south east Edmonton. There is parkade parking on site and an elevator up to our floor, so getting in is easy whether you are driving, bringing a stroller, or using a walker or wheelchair.

What Are Your Office Hours?

We are open Monday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are closed on Sunday.

Later appointments midweek and a full day on Saturday mean most patients can be seen outside work and school hours.

Do You Offer Sedation Dentistry?

Yes. Sedation is available here for patients who find dental treatment stressful, who have a strong gag reflex, or who would rather rest through a longer appointment than sit awake for it.

If dental anxiety is the reason you have put off seeing a dentist, please say so when you book. We would far rather plan the visit around it than have you keep waiting.

Do You Provide Emergency Dental Care?

Yes, and we keep room in the day for it. Toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling, or bleeding that will not settle are all reasons to call us rather than wait.

We offer same-day appointments for dental emergencies, and you do not need to be an existing patient to be seen.

Do You Have Payment Options?

Yes. We direct bill insurance companies. You pay only your portion at the end of the visit and we submit the claim for you, so there is no paying the full amount up front and waiting weeks to be reimbursed.

We also accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Bring your insurance details to your first appointment and we will take care of the rest.

Once you become a patient, pay attention to things like how well your dentist explains your treatment options, your overall wait time, and how bills are handled. We also suggest speaking to your friends, family, and neighbours about their experiences and recommendations.

If you’re not satisfied with your dental clinic, you probably aren’t visiting as often as you should be. Please don’t neglect your dental health! Routine dental checkups are crucial for the removal of cavity-causing plaque and tartar, oral cancer identification, and gum disease detection and treatment. And because of the correlation between your dental health and your overall health, your dentist is also commonly the first healthcare provider to identify signs of diabetes, leukemia, heart disease, and kidney disease.

We can provide excellent oral care for your entire family, from routine teeth cleanings to more involved procedures like root canal therapy and dental implants or denture repairs. If you have young children, we’ll help teach them the importance of dental hygiene! Our clinic also offers cosmetic dentistry for patients of all ages who would like to improve the aesthetics of their smiles. No matter what service you’re seeing us for, you can expect professional dental care from our team.

Another way we put the patient first is by offering restorative dentistry without the wait. We can fabricate crowns, veneers, and inlays right in our office, which minimizes your wait time and allows you to walk out with healthier, more attractive teeth after just one visit. Our staff is also committed to a minimal wait for dental checkups – you won’t have to read every magazine in sight before your name is finally called!

We’re always welcoming new patients to our ever-growing clientele. Emergency visits are accepted, and extended hours are offered for evenings to be more convenient for your busy schedule.
