Arch Dental — Mill Woods, Edmonton
Dr. Paul Delhon

South Edmonton Dentist
Dr. Paul Delhon has been practicing since 2014 and sees patients at Arch Dental in Mill Woods, south east Edmonton. He provides general and restorative care, and a good deal of his work is with people whose earlier dental experiences left them anxious about treatment.
Why Dentistry
With several aunts and uncles in the dental field, Dr. Paul was inspired to follow in their footsteps. “As early as high school, I knew I wanted to work in dentistry. I also wanted an opportunity to work with my hands,” he says.
Education and Training
Dr. Paul earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and has been practicing since 2014. One of the highlights of his education was the opportunity to work with a diverse and underserved patient population in Florida.
He recalls the challenge and reward of learning endodontics: “It’s difficult working on a patient in immediate pain. But as soon as you can relieve that pain, it’s incredibly satisfying.”
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Paul regularly takes continuing education courses—well beyond what’s required for licensure. He and Dr. Rakhee also attended the prestigious American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry conference, an invitation-only event held annually.
Helping Patients Overcome Dental Anxiety
One aspect of dentistry that surprised Dr. Paul during school was how many patients had negative past experiences. “Those experiences created a mental block that prevented them from getting the care they needed,” he explains. Helping patients overcome that anxiety and get out of pain has become one of the most fulfilling parts of his work.
Outside the Dental Office
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Paul enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling. He and Dr. Rakhee, both self-described foodies, love trying new restaurants around Southeast Edmonton.
They’re also deeply committed to community service. Through The Alex Dental Health Bus—a mobile dental clinic serving underserved populations—Dr. Paul and Dr. Rakhee provide free dental care to those in need.
